Vulcan Yacht makes its debut at Polboat Yachting Festival in Gdynia.
Four days, over a hundred exhibitors, a beautiful setting and tens of thousands of visitors. Between July 21 and 24 in Gdynia marina Polboat Yachting Festival took place- a feast for yacht lovers and the biggest nautical expo in Poland.
Vulcan Yachts attended as one of the exhibitors- we could not miss this kind of event. The convention was the perfect opportunity to launch our new product- Vulcan JP47- a yacht that, since long before the exhibition, has caught the imagination of people who value impeccable design, power, speed and unorthodox solutions. Our boat has garnered much attention in foreign media and was nominated for a Gdynia POLBOAT Award 2022.
Sailing enthusiasts were greeted with fine weather in Gdynia. Close to one hundred ships docked at the Marina Yacht Park piers, including: sailboats, motor yachts, catamarans, houseboats and PWCs. There were tents set up along the quayside, where exhibitors were displaying their range of products- dedicated to both manufacturing companies and private customers. The display of merchandise from luxury and premium sector was a great addition to the festival. The varied programme of the event attracted many active lifestyle enthusiasts. Apart from the exhibitors and their superb products there were many attractions arranged for the entertainment of the visitors, including PWC and flyboarding shows.
Nomination for the event’s most prestigious award
Inspiration, exchange of experience, monitoring the trends and setting new ones- that’s what defines the festival. Our Vulcan boat fit perfectly amongst other state-of-the-art watercrafts. There has been a great sign of recognition of our debuting yacht- the nomination for a Gdynia POLBOAT Award 2022- the President’s award. Prizes were awarded for the most interesting yachts exhibited during the expo. The jury for the contest consisted of well-known polish nautical designers, artists and journalists. In the competition Vulcan JP47 beat dozens of other watercrafts and, by the jury’s decision, placed in the top 3 in the category of “The most interesting motor yacht of over 11 meters in length”.
Tested in the environment of international professionals
Polboat Yachting Festiwal is a yachting feast and an ideal moment to market the latest watercrafts in the international seafaring environment. The perfect opportunity to introduce our yacht to the world was “test sailing”- an event in which foreign journalists could partake. The sea trial of Vulcan JP47 took place on Saturday morning. Visitors representing major sailing-related media companies from Australia, Italy,
Great Britain, Monaco and Poland were welcomed aboard. Even at the pier it was apparent what kind of solutions had been implemented in the boat’s creation process and that it looked good in the marina, however its greatest advantage could be showcased after setting out for the waters of the Gulf of Gdansk. During the sea trial the power of the engines- 570 HP each- was displayed to great effect. The “test sail” allowed us to demonstrate the ability to reach high speeds while maintaining the stability of the boat along with total comfort and safety. The participating journalists were particularly interested in technical details, including the specifics of the surface drive fully utilized in Vulcan JP47, and the innovative construction of the yacht, defined by the carbon fibre deckhouse, stern platform, lounge and exterior kitchen. The spectacular sea trial of the Vulcan boat was a perfect occasion to test its performance while having some great fun with a dash of adrenaline.
Official domestic launch
The official launch of the new Vulcan boat was a long-awaited moment at Polboat Yachting Festival. The debut of our watercraft had been repeatedly mentioned in many publications discussing the event. Radek Pstokoński from RR Yachts- the sole broker for Vulcan Yachts- did an interview as a representative of Vulcan Yachts. The interview, on the topic of the boat’s performance, was conducted by Stanisław Iwiński, an expert renowned for his experience in the nautical industry, as well as the owner and the editor-in-chief for Yachtsmen.eu.
Polboat Yachting Festival
Polboat Yachting Festival, organized by Polska Izba Przemysłu Jachtowego i Sportów Wodnych (POLBOAT), is the biggest yacht exhibition held in Poland and a feast for water sports enthusiasts. This annual open event attracts the most prominent figures on the recreational craft market, both domestic and international.
During the 2022 exhibition all major shipyards from Poland were presenting their products. Alongside Vulcan Yachts the show was attended by: Sunreef Yachts, Galeon Yachts, Balt Yacht, Cobrey, Parker Poland, Northman, La Mare Houseboats, Sportis, Viko Yachts, Mazuria, Nomadream, Nautic Yachts, D-Boat, Futuro Boats, Lamdo Yachts, Canna Boats, Stalkone i Pro Air – Jacht 2020. Represented by their polish distributors, prestigious foreign brands were also attendant: Eco Marine, Italian Yachts, Malibu Poland, Passionautica, Power Boats, Skyboat, Super Yachts, Taurus Sea Power, Wiszniewski Boat Centre and Yachts&Yachting.
